I never could get past the headlights in the bumper. Always thought it was ugly. Plus, that truck was rebuilt 800,000 miles ago. I'd be afraid to trust it. Plus, it will probably need new drives before winter. You're looking at between 3K and 4K for those. Just too risky for me. But I have to say that I prefer to just drive my truck and not have to spend my weekends working on it. There are lots of drivers out here that love to spend their weekends working on their trucks. I know several who would never let anybody work on their trucks except in an emergency.

I am with you on that one, they should have thrown those plans away when they came out with the lights in the bumper... Yes that scares me to, if it was such a good re-build what is it up for sale now?? Thanks.

Actually, with 800,000 miles on it, I would say it was a good rebuild. but it was just that, a rebuild. It's probably going to need another one before too long. And you'll still have that ugly bumper. that's as bad as that old cab over Pete they came out with in the 80's with the rounded front end. Just can't get past that.

There's a BCO who's medically retiring and has his truck up for sale on the Landstar Ranger BCO owned facebook page. Check it out and see if you like it. Here's the details on it:

She's a 2002 228 wheelbase, N14PLUS 460HP, Eaton 10 speed direct, and Dana 3.36 rears, 780,000 miles. doesn't use any oil between changes @ 15,000 intervals. Had new steers put on in may and new generator when came off road in june. Had gaskets and front and rear seals replaced with clutch in march also timing boxes and due to mechanic era the front cover and bull gear was replaced the same month.

They are a fleet truck that went bankrupt from the result of their primary client going bankrupt.

I was told an answer should be made this week or early next week.
