Well Volvo owns Mack, so scratch those both.

    Freightliner assembly of Mexico?

The CEO at the time the International Pro Star was brought to market stated that Owner Operators are a thing of the past.

That pretty much leaves Paccar, while assembled here, am sure they are sourcing as many parts as they can from elsewhere.

All that aside, most of the members you asked are not hauling cars. Their aerodynamics are obviously different, so what they
get will differ from what you will get. So scratch all of that.

The next thing YOU can do is stop by your local mfg's service departments & ask the techs what to avoid by model year or engine serial number
with regard to emission garbage. Being in CA they have seen enough of the issues over the years(if they tell you the truth) to know which direction to steer you.

Additionally you mentioned having a condo sleeper. Would a mid roof not be sufficient? The reason is if you are hauling POV's on occasion, the neighborhoods
are not 13'6 as you are well aware of. So the lower profile you can maintain the better.

I hear ya on the roof height- I think when the time comes I just gotta get out there and sit in each model I'm considering. And Vlad, I don't have a bad attitude- what I do have is a family to take care of. What I DON'T have, is time to waste taking advise from someone who has never driven a darn truck, or knows the intricacies of running a business, ok comrade? Like I said no offense, but I came to the OO forum to ask guys that work with the same mindset as I, not the guy that sits home all day farting around the internet.

Do not need to be sitting at home to be on the internet its available in the truck as well and most everyone on here likely has family to take care of not just you.

And that's why I posed the question here- in the OO forum, not the inexperienced, just kinda checking out trucking forum. OO's have a different understanding of trucking than company drivers when it comes to the financial aspect. And I know I'm not the only one here with a family FLATBED, and while I may be a new driver, I just retired from the Marines so I've had more than my share of away from family time, in a lot more stressful situations than most.
