Nobody asked the obvious (to me anyway) question..... Have you actually hired the guy who will be driving it? If not, what would you pay me to drive either one? Both are a big step up in terms of driver comfort over the 61in flattop Volvo I'm currently driving. Of course, if you have hired the new guy, let him pick. Or you could justbuy both, hire 2 guys who need a job, and work your load planner a bit harder.

Never been in a Cascadia but I like the bigger tanks and the taller cab but not a big deal. We have lots of the T series KW's here. I like the KW for the trans. That alone gives it the nod. 13 would be better but you aren't giving me much to choose from LOL.

I havn't hired yet, I thought getting the truck would be abetter first step...It would suck to tell a guy...your hired, but it will be a month or 2 for me to get a truck, so just hang tight lol. If your interested though, please PM me. If i talk about recruiting and rates on here Im sure i will get this thread closed an possibly me banned. That being said, I pay enough to keep drivers happy and in the seats. I dont want a revolving door. Good drivers are hard to come by so they should be paid what they are worth. I'd rather spend my recruiting expense on keeping them happy and in the seat making us both money.

My fl columbia has a 13 for the 13 lovers out there.....and a columbia is just an old cascadia lol....so i figgure i can get drivers like you in my Columbia if you don't like the t660lol. Alot of drivers who havnt driven more then 3 years dont know how to drive anything but a 9 or 10. So i figured the 10 would be more newer driver friendly. I test drove the t660 today. The cuming has amazing torqe. Its only set for 425 horse and it felt like i was sitting on 600. Real quiet truck to, i kept reving to high because im not used tot he quietness. I also kept skipping 6th since its in the wrong spot compared to 13 lol. I got back in my fl and i was like....this clutch is really hard. It really comes down to what you are used to. A high torque motor with a 10 does almost as good as a lower torque with a 13.

Ding ding ding (alarm bells ringing). Do you know what a single disk clutch is......I actually don't know the exact name for it but we had one of the in a 1995 mid roof T600 N14 15spd.....really stiff clutch pedal. I would avoid that like the plague.

I would prefer the one that came with a good boss who paid well. I look at the job more than the truck.

Driving this T700 KW today in some yards, small customer lots, and truck stops... I am Jonesing for the turning radius of a Cascadia. I thought of this thread again as I did a U-turn in a yard between rows of trailers. I had to stop and "back to jack" in order to get this KW turned. The Cascadia would have made it easy in one move.

If you are hiring drivers for tight deliveries, especially for smaller customer deliveries or pickups, then the Cascadia will definitely make their life MUCH MUCH (did I say "MUCH"?) easier. I can't imagine trying to maneuver this KW in customer yards I've taken the Cascadia.
