Neither you missed something really important here, it is not the name on the data plate but the company that owns it. You can have a truck that is built just for you and have a complete tool as a boss, or you can get a cookie cutter truck and have a fantastic boss. If the brand of the truck is what is the most important to someone who is a driver looking for a job then that would be the driver who could keep looking in my book.

As i'v mentioned before, yes other things are more important, but, id like to have the biggest pool to hire from and if a driver would be happier with a certain truck Id prefer that. This isnt the only criteria for selecting a driver. Its also not the only thing im gonna do to try andkeep good drivers

I totally agree. If I were a truck driver, I would be concerned that the truck That I was assigned was safe, mechanically sound, met and complied with D.O.T. standards, and relatively comfortable. If one is driving OTR, that truck is your home away from home.

Also, I would hope that the pay, benefits, and working conditions were relatively decent, along with doing everything LEGALLY, to avoid getting into trouble with D.O.T. or the law.

Given the OP's choice, I'd rather have the KW. :)

As a Maverick driver, I'd go with the KW.....the ParkSmart EPU is crap, the Auto is great, but as someone mentioned already, the XY shifter is expensive to replace, and , also....the Freightliner build quality is atrocious!!!!!!......also, our trucks have twin 80 gallon fuel tanks.......
