I was wondering which companies offer Dedicated Team Accounts and how much they money and home time they average a week. I know you have to unload your trailers. How much do you get for each stop and trailer you unload. I contact some companies but either didn't offer Dedicated Teams or didn't have accurate information.

I hope you're absolutely certain that's where you want to begin. trucking in general is tough enough in the begining but couple that with a series of bad teaming experiences and you have a recipie for probable guaranteed failure to ever get off the ground in the trucking biz. I'll assume you are thinking about ending up as a "team couple" which is good when the right two get paired up, otherwise you're probably going to be happier in the long run operating as a solo driver.

But, CRST and Schneider and most all the larger operations have team divisions but that doesn't necessarily mean they have ample quality team freight to keep both financially happy enugh to deal with the stress of teaming with in incompatible partner.

S Texan is exactly correct, the main problem is CONSISTANT team freight. I do know that Quest Global out of Georgia runs teams. IfI remember correctly they offer 5500+ miles per week. As for home time, very few companies are gonna have you home weekly, you need to plan on 3 wks out. I think there may be a couple of companies in MI that run teams, you make a run to California, then backhaul produce every week.

Justa side note, Team Driving is physically, mentally, & emotionally draining job. My husband & I did it for 2 1/2yrs. We finally had to start turning down loads because our company wanted the truck rolling 22hrs a day, no time to stop for meals, showers, etc. They only wanted us to stop for fuel & for driver swaps. Neither of us could get adequate sleep while the truck was moving, we could go for 2-3 days, then we HAD to stop so we could sleep while the truck was not moving.
