I'm using the cobra 2500W as well.

It's not working at the moment but I think that's part of a larger problem, not the inverter itself.

Yup, Cobra for us too. Powers the fridge all the time. We use the APU for the microwave and the TV/DVD.

I use 2 400w Cobras, they work great, one powers my 26" widescreen computer monitor, the other powers my laptop and a 10" fan, I bought them a few months apart, the one for my laptop seems to be wearing out a bit, or its just not as good, I wasnt able to use it in conjunction with my laptop, thats why I bought the other one.

But overall they seem pretty efficient, but the fans run ALL the time, and Im not near the max load, the laptop uses 90w continuous, and the monitor uses 110, the fan is only maybe 30w. But the fans still whine. But they have fuses in the plug itself so they're very safe, have the low voltage alarms, and they'll shut off too

I'm wondering if this is just my truck or if it's common. I have an inverter that plugs into the 12V, but it only works in the dash one. I try it in any of the bunk outlets and the light won't turn green. Is there just more juice going to the dash, or are they just built different? The bunk outlets work just fine for the GPS or phone chargers etc. Just not the inverter.

I've got one of the 400/800 watt 12V plug ins that I used to use before getting the big one I have and it worked fine in both the bunk plugs. Somethings not right if those plugs work for your other stuff though.

I just need to run a crockpot and recharge the laptop battery, so should the cobra 800 watt work those items without a problem. It says it has a cigarette lighter adapter included. I'm just overtired of the truck stop food and the microwave soup in a cup. Would like to cut up some veggies and have some soup at night or a couple of pieces of chicken breast in marinara sauce.

    Thanks.

It will work for the laptop charger but not sure about the crockpot I never had one of those. I think it will for the crockpot but you should check to see how many watts it is first to be sure.

I've got a newer cobra 475 and a rally 300 that's at least 15 years old, still works fine. I got the 475 just because I needed more than 2 plugins.
