I've been that way before.. way too many times...
As for being stuck at exit 5 for the wkend. Can you say bobtail for the wkend.. -
It's a wonder we didn't stumble across each other on any of those roads I have been ware in them out pulling this hopper. But I got away from hauling out of the fields and starting hauling into feed mills so it's been way off the beatin path lately

Would of been nice to have you do it. The friend of mine's buddy has a shop in Davenport,Ia.
He has installed several roof mount ac's.
Ron posted something last night about running the exhaust towards the rear of my frame.
Does that make sense? -
My health is doing better and I've even lost a few pounds. Still smoking, but not like I used to.
I do not smoke in the trk. now, driving or when I'm sitting. So that has cut me back quite a bit. -
I have you beat on pilots.
Pulled into the J in Texarkana, a dump I know but it was 4:15pm and they have a curfew now.
Pulled round the back after the other escorts scoped it out for parking. Great there are 4 spots together. There are 4 of us all 14 wide, and I am 83' long with the neck down.
Have the 2 company trucks block off the middle, so I can get backed in and have the other heavy truck park next to me. I go by the spots on the left, swing right then left, put my 4 ways on and start backing up. I hear Rober say "back up back up", so I keep backing up.
Next thing I heard was the dumb female dog I had say " STOP you're pushing me". Huh? I'm pushing her? All the other escorts were blocking the back row so we could park, and she decides to stay RIGHT behind me, slowly driving forward as I am backing up! She said she tried to put it in reverse, but hit park instead. Problem solved, 107k lbs moved her POS in short order, and I didnt even feel it.... I didnt even offer to pay the dummy, her fault 110% as she was looking at her laptop and was right on my bumper when I was backing up.
Put a little "dent" in her bumper, made her POS height pole tube look like a piece of pasta, and pissed her off.
Oh well....

Plan on dropping and heading to Lordsburg mate. Got it covered!
I always run the exhaust so it exits just above the frame rail. There is just enough room to check oil under the frame rail at that. I have seen some face backwards, but I always put them on with the front of the generator facing outwards. Never had a problem with that. You can get some ductwork and extend the exhaust, but I have yet to get a whiff of fumes, and I have a carbon monoxide detector in the truck.

You need to find better help.

I do really well w my step , but in all honesty if I had the same experience back when I was pulling a flat as far as negotiation goes , I would have done well w a flat also. Sometimes its not the equipment. Do you book your own loads or are you leased ? I know some guys that are leased that make as much or more than some indys w less headaches.
BigJls1 Thanks this. -
Call the people for whom you are currently working and ask them if they move RGN freight. Ask them how heavy and what the dimensions are. That will tell you what trailer you can look for.
Then ask them how often they get the loads and what they are paying. Then look on the internet and in the rags for trailer prices. Then do the math.
