Justim work boots. 7 layers of insole. Just enough traction on the bottom to keep you from slipping, but not enough to track crap into your truck.
What type of Shoes?

I like a good set of steel toe boots with non slip soles and strong ankle support.
But I don't wear them when it's just a driving day. I wear a pair of fleece lined moccosin slippers.
I slip on the boots if I have to get out to fuel or whatever, but I like to be comfortable while driving. -
The links below are 2 brands that are some of the most comfortable shoes / boots you will ever slip your feet into. My personal pick for comfort is the Merrells! Both brands have a boot with the "look" that many have mentioned here and the links go right to the styles. The features are everything wanted like, ankle support, slip and oil resistant, treads with lots of grip, but with minimal tracking to keep the truck cab clean longer.
Merrell has a boot, (Style: Wilderness Canyon) though not a steel toe, but has that "work boot" type look with smooth black leather that can be polished. (if that's what yer into) I prefer the other styles myself and let me tell you.. You will never want to take them off!
Keen has a "cowboy" boot style that is probably the best most comfortable work boot of that style ever made! Comes in a soft and steel toe.

The seat is more important than the shoes... unless you drive standing up....

What about those. Are they too bulky? -

As far as ingrown nails, go one size larger and wear two pairs of socks. An added bonus is your boots wont stink, inside sock soaks up the funk, outside sock stays dry.

Reciever unloading a skid of Tile, with a manual pallet jack. He gets the skid going down the Dock plate, and tries to turn the pallet jack handle sideways, too stop the rolling skid. Well, it did not turn and ran right into his Gym Shoe. He fell to the ground and pulled his shoe off and there goes the blood flowing, changing the color of his socks to all red. He was screaming, and all of the sudden people showed up real quick. That had to hurt. I wear steel toe shoes all the time. Poor guy probably, too this day still feels that.
