I don’t get this place. Every other weigh station in the country (that I’ve seen) when you get the green bypass on the Qualcomm ya keep going but I’m hearing regardless you need to pull in here when the yellow lights are flashing. I intially get the “bypass” green about 2 miles out then get “ bypass but remain on mainline” as I get closer which I’ve never seen before nor understand what it means. I blew by once and nobody came after me but pulled through a second time today just to be safe despite the same bypass messages. Anybody know what gives with this joint?

Read the signs. “PrePass follow in cab signal”. So if your PrePass gives a green light, you roll on.

Btw quailcomm is a communication device for you and your company to talk back & forth, not a scale pre-clearance system.

I guess I should have said MCP 200 which incorporates the Qualcomm . Our pre pass directions are displayed in this dash mounted device, not just a little green or red light on the windshield mounted box. Anyway, at this location I don’t see the typical “follow in cab signal” sign, just the enter when flashing. Follow in cab would be a no brainer. Perhaps I missed it. The line has been down the road to enter and I was the only bypass. I think I saw some reviews on trucker path or somewhere again suggesting this was a no bypass site regardless. What does in cab response from pre-pass “stay on mainline” mean? Never seen that. Seems like it would suggest.... stay on the dang highway.

No bypass system at st Croix mn. Lights flashing, go in. No lights flashing, don't go in.

There is no sign there stating to follow in cab device signals.

Thanks. I just did a google map run down the highway to see if I’d missed the sign ( which would have been multiple times).

I guess I got lucky when I blew by the other day that there were no chasers.

I have Drivewyze scale bypass on the QC like you. When it gives me "Green Bypass" I do just that I dont care what the road signs are indicating...

Been through that Minnesota scale several times and have never pulled in when I've gotten the green bypass on my QC. Never been chased down either.

Omnitracs (formerly Qualcomm) utilizes Drivewyze. The screen will show “bypass” if you’re cleared to bypass. If the scale house does not participate in Drivewyze it will show you on the screen that the scale is not a Drivewyze scale and to follow the signs.

No, but Qualcomm units can be loaded with Drivewyze software, which is another bypass system. My company uses it, it's great.

The drivewyze is new to me. I never knew it could be built in with the qualcomm. I’m used to the old qualcommn’s and windshield mounted pre passes
