What was the most beneficial piece of advice you received?

You can go too slow as many times as you want, you can go too fast only once. This from my dad regarding mountain passes and snowy conditions.

 

Chapstick will fix monkey butt, keep some with you.

 

Put a distinctive mark on that particular chapstick.

 

chapstick will also fix scratches in CDs.

 

Never put a pee bottle in a cupholder...

Do not get married!

 

When I was learning to fly, I had an old grizzled and gruff instructor who told me, Every take off is optional, but every landing is mandatory!

When I started driving and getting trained by my Grandpa, he told me, Don't ever let this truck take you to someplace your brain didn't get to 30 seconds earlier.

 

For the record... I am happily married. just wanted to add some humor to the post, & I am sure it would apply to someone.
