    You can go too slow as many times as you want, you can go too fast only once. This from my dad regarding mountain passes and snowy conditions.

  9. When I was learning to fly, I had an old grizzled and gruff instructor who told me, Every take off is optional, but every landing is mandatory!

    When I started driving and getting trained by my Grandpa, he told me, Don't ever let this truck take you to someplace your brain didn't get to 30 seconds earlier.
