What was this driver thinking?

Received via email this morning from a friend who works in risk management (w/ permission to release)

We had an owner/op pull something similar, but with a more creative twist. More on THAT adventure later...

Apparently the driver ended up lost in an area of very expensive homes, then found himself at the end of a cul-de-sac with a manicured island in the center. Instead of backing out he drove around the cul-de-sac, dragging his trailer tandems over the landscape island, catching a 3,000 lb boulder under the trailer.

The boulder ripped his air lines out and locked up the trailer brakes. That still didn't stop the forward progress as the trailer dragged the boulder. The boulder slid along the manicured island dragging the flower beds and newly planted shrubs and trees along under the trailer.

The driver continued up the road with all the wood chips, loam, and trees leaving a trail behind him as he excelerated toward the highway. People living in the area came out of their yards and were yelling at the driver to stop, some jumped on his truck as it was moving and were banging on his side windows trying to get him to stop. The trailer brakes were locked so the crown in the road caused the trailer to slide over to the right and level the mail boxes along the way.

The driver finally decided to call 911 in fear for his life as he headed onto the highway with angry home owners on board. the police came and rescued the driver from the owners and wrote him a 3 foot long ticket.
