Started with J.B. in 89 and stayed for 16 years. Did pretty well and left for a better job.

1 solid year...
Reason for leaving: along with issues with a couple of co-drivers, and a few more with common problems, the real reason was when I got dispatched on a load that delivered 100 miles out, but could not deliver until the next day (this is on a Monday morning mind you). So that means I had to run a few miles and sit a whole day. Not to mention the following day and a half because dispatch couldn't find a more prompt appointment on a load. I was being dispatched to flip a load during the Thanksgiving holidays for someone (another PAM driver) to get back home.
Since I chose to work through the Thanksgiving holidays, and PAM dispatch kept insisting we could run all the miles we wanted, then I assumed I would get to run without many setbacks. Or else I would've chose to take off for hometime. I considered that a slap in the face. Especially since it happened two weeks prior to completing my full year. So, they pretty much held the doors open for my departure. Who wants to camp around in a semi at a truck stop during the Thanksgiving holidays when you could be at home with your family?
I kindly gave them my two week notice, and left it at that. I still took the load, but I did refuse it at first. Someone from the office called, and I could tell they were being put in a bind. Apparently, they were having problems finding someone to flip the load. So I felt sorry for them. I didn't feel sorry for the driver that was supposed have been routed home 5 days ago. That wasn't my fault.
PAM also failed to get me routed to the nearest terminal when they were supposed to after my two week notice. So PAM obviously has a problem scheduling loads even after given two weeks or more instructions ahead of time.
Keep in mind. PAM has a lot of clientele. A #### load.Last edited: Feb 13, 2014

May Trucking out of brooks,Oregon.
Was only 4 months at May, left for a PAC NW regional gig at SNI to get home every Saturday.
8 Months of that and I got in a chip truck to be home daily. -
Schneider National almost 2 yrs.I left for better paying job,and no more threats on qualcom about what could get you fired that week.
It was the type of messages we got daily, when dispatch wanted to flex some muscle,or the newest college boy wanted you to know he
was in charge.
Now I just drive truck, and no big brother, and never any random threats. -

Truck was full of mold under the rubber floor.

CRST for a year and a half. Left for more money.

Swift for a year plus training. Left to have more I guess you could say stuff(inverter, pets, signficant other) with me on the road, that and better pay. Running western 11 and being close to home now is just a bonus for me.
