I was Buyer/Planner and a Senior Buyer for a Computer Software manufacturer as well as with a Satellite TV Box rebuilder. It was fun. But after being laid off, I decided to change careers since the job market is so crappy!

Very excited. Should be making my final decision this weekend on which company I'll marry for the next year or so.

I was a rocket scientist so the transition to trucking has been particularly tough!!:biggrin_25523:

I am currently a Cost Accounting supervisor for a industrial/safety/mro distributor. I will be leaving in June to get my cdl at Prime. Got tired of the corporate America crap.

I was a Marketing/Advertising guy for Geico Cyclegard, the motorcycle division of Geico. It was nice for about 4 months out of every year as we would travel to all the big motorcycle functions in the U.S., however for the other 3/4 of the year you would pretty much sit behind the desk and recreate scenes from the show "the office". So i traded desks and offices for one on wheels and after 7 years i love every minute.

Worked in production maintenance at a large newspaper for 20 years. Repaired the printing presses and everything thing else related to production.

Most recently drove a flatbed wrecker for a year.

Out of high school was a janitor for the schools for a couple years. Then did concrete work for a couple, then was a laborer for excavating company for a few. Then tried being a machinist for couple years but felt to couped up.Then was parts puller at scrap yard for a year.I know alot of different jobs but was always putting food on table for family and oh only three more jobs lol.I then went back to excavating but this time drove dump truck for 4 years and ran equipment for 6 years.I then got a job with the city street department which i thought was cats meow at the time. After ten years of being bored and tired of counting street signs because there was no money to fix anything,i decided to do what all my uncles have done and still do herd a truck down te road and see the country.:yes2557:

I was a cook/chef. done everything from flipping burgers to private club and catering. family dining was my fav, tho catering was lot of fun. economy stinks, folks cant afford to eat out, and weddings and parties down to finger foods instead of appetizers and dinner. food doesn't pay like it used to.
