In my last few years on the road, I learned to tune most of that garbage out. If the conversations were about non-trucking topics and I felt like it I would engage. Way too many Truck Stop attorney's and dangerous (have to register their hands as dangerous weapons) ex seals and ninja warriors driving trucks!
What wattage of a microwave should I use in a truck?

i DID make the mistake at first, to sit at the counter, then i learnt real quick to always sit at a table.
i was simply amazed at all the ex Seals, Rangers, Green Berets, Special ops, former CIA , FBI. Israeli Mossad, British MI6 and former Russian KGB and NASA engineers that were now truckers.
of curse to be honest, i could always tell the former Russian KGB agents from all the others, as they were the only ones wearing running suits and flip flops.Odin's Rabid Dog, sirhwy and Cabinover101 Thank this. -

Most of the ones you will find that fit in a truck space, will be from 600 to 800 watt range. That will heat and cook most things in 5 minutes or less.
For best results, the inverter operating output should be 2.5 times the microwave operating wattage rating.
microwave 700 watts operating, inverter operating output 2100 watts. This will cover start up surge. -
