What wheels are powered when power divider is off?

    Whatever set of duals / wheel has the least rolling resistance.

    I think in the thread allan linked to, is a link to an article I found that really explains the "why" a differential sends all the torque to the spinning wheel. It's because the spinning wheel has a lower effective gear ratio due to the way differentials work.

    And the tractor actually wants to rotate around the center of gravity, which just happens to be nearest to the front drive.

    Allan is correct. That's why I cross rotate my drives and never put a new set of tires on one axle only.
