Name 1 driver that got hired after they abandoned a truck. And hired by a company that uses DAC. Abandonment is on par with a rollover. They have the potential to be career enders.

I have been hired after said events while the hiring manager was looking at my DAC... like I said, it isn't the end of the world. Very true about the possible career complications, but there is way more out there than DAC companies. Also, if a company has a need, it will be taken by a risky driver. A hiring manager often has final say, "bad" DAC or not.

*When I was younger, I didn't give a hoot and if I didn't like a company it was bye bye birdie... maybe I am lucky to be where I am at now and certainly don't condone or recommend my history to any new driver*

lol ok ok. usually most people , if they really wanted to..could figure it out for themselves..BUT..ill spell it out for you. im just nice like that. :)

I was on the Patrol from 2000 to 2007. I left because i was unhappy with some of the political BS that was happening at the post..Dayton Post #57 fyi. My unit number was 1561. I signed on to go with JB..then the crap i mentioned before happened..i went to transport america for 7 months..quit to drive a dump truck fro a local demo company. left them after about a year to go back to school...ran out of V.A. money..and was in middle of divorce..found a job driving for a decent sand/gravel company..and got a part time job at the Dayton VA as well. worked both of those for almost two years...up untill Jan of this year.

There ya go. Oh yeah. I was with the 1487th Transportation Company during OIF2, for about 2 months..then i went with my LT, and helped him and a Capt. from another unit, form the '518th Combat Guntruck Company'. I was a gunner with that unit for the last 12 months. His name was Capt Landry. feel free to Google it if you're still in awe, and are having a hard time believing it.

From MY experience, people who think what i said was any kind of 'claim to fame'..are just envious of other peoples accomplishments. Why lie about it? Besides. Lying about military experience..and medals of valor earned( i didnt even get into that), is a federal offense now. Here ya go...My name is Thomas Salemme. Unit # was 1561. feel free to call and ask if i was employed there .the phone number to the Hwy patrol post is 937-832-4794. if you talk to dispatcher Mowen, or dispatcher Stinett, tell them SALEMCO says hi. :)

Thanks for the sympathy. :) But it was a decision i made..and stuck with it. My choice to go back OTR is also that..my choice. As was the decision to walk away from the military after 19 years of total service, and 16 years towards retirement. My choice. Dont worry bout me. ill be ok. :) Sorry if your so envious that you cant believe what im saying. I have sympathy for YOU, in that regard.

I actually have a really good attitude...yesterday was a bad day. there is another student here who thinks they are in 2nd grade...running her mouth about how she was a trucker 20 years ago etc etc etc..but yet failed all her written tests two or three times...and has been less than impressive on the range and road. She wanted to be the big fish in the pond..and it aint happening. So dealing with her has strained my nerves...luckily we have just one more week and ill be outta here. then ill be all better. i promise. :)
