what will happen if you get abandonment of equipment on your DAC?

I will tell you of one... Me thats right hero....
I parked a truck in 1997 right here at the house.. Just happens that it belonged to CR England. Back before they were a Lease only company.... And I ain't had a single issue finding work.. Worked for and Owner Op who leased on with Werner, then he sent all the trucks to Landstar.. He became a Landstar Agent and I went on to work for two other companies after that.. The Last big company being JBS Carriers..

I will explain the CR England abandonment.. this was when Gene England was still running the company long before Dan, Dean and the other brother were officers of the company.. Long story short I was working there for a o/o who had several trucks leased on he ended up passing away England offered all 5 of us jobs since his wife shut the company down... Fast forward 3 months My Pops had a massive heart attack in Virginia I was in SLC at the time.. Dispatcher tried to get me a load as close to home as possible.. I got to Richmond. swapped with another driver came home after 3 days the Operations Manager came after me hard.. I told him this is my Dad and shove the truck where the sun don't shine.. 2 days later a driver shows up in a cab to get the truck.. Operations Manager says they are filing it on my DAC.. They did I filed a dispute with DAC and after a short time IT was removed.... England even sued me and got a judgement for 5k for the recovery of the truck.. The judge admonished their attorney calling CR England deplorable and unbelievable.. My Pops showed up to court with me and medical bills in hand proved that for Reasons of Family Medical issues I stayed home for a whopping 6 days.. After England punted me I ended up quickly working for Thomas Happel out OF Colorado who leased us on to Werner..
The information on DAC is only good for ten years.. after Ten DAC removes the History the company shows but no other information...

TO The OP England CAN NOT Do anything to Your Husbands State issued CDL.. They will However do everything they can to wreck his career.. My Advice to him is to get on the phone with Dan England or Throm ( Throm is the VP of Recruiting, Training etc) although the company overall is not the greatest somewhere someone has a brain...

If you notice at the Bottom of My Post I think I pretty much agree with you.. Stating that England will wreck his career..
I am well aware of how bad they treat people, and there is no doubt in my mind that when it comes to being the bottom of the barrel they have made the list..

 

England was actually a halfway decent company to drive for before the sons took it over. Now you'd be an idiot to sign any kind of employment deal driving with them.

 

Oh I agree I can recall meeting Gene in truck 1 in the early 80's as a kid riding with my Pops, Gene was one hell of a man and when I was there the company was not to bad.. I actually had a long relationship with a young lady there while I was there and after I left CR and she still works there in Safety..... once upon a time there were many great companies many of which have gone to the pit due to greedy management.

 

I personally haven't driven for them but I heard more than a fair share of stories. It's not just England either but any other bottom feeder as well. This is the direction OTR has been going in the last 20 years. Do it our way or we screw up your career. In my opinion, OTR should be outlawed/banned all together.
