Was anyone working during the 08 recession?? What impact do you think the next one will have on us in the field?? Today I think we are more reliant on domestic oil than we were in 2008-2010, so I think it may be different. I don't think it'll be like 2016 when barrel price tanked. I think this is a conversation that needs to happen. What are your thoughts, Please contribute.. Let us pray for our selves, each other and our nation in the coming times.
It is not a recession that is the problem, it depends on who wins the next election as to what the oilfied does. It will be either just another day, or a major crash.
Oilfield is completely different now than during the great recession, which was actually a depression, horizontal drilling was still in the infancy. When the next recession happens it'll be the first time for us all. It'll probably be similar to the 2014 bust Don't be daft.
