I thought this would be an interesting question since what works for one don't necessarily work for others. I as a newbee over here am trying to find my niche also, so need all the insight i can get. How many miles radius do you run, do you prefer long haul as to short haul which seems to make you the best $$?

I am on the platform side and I try to stick to only oversize moves. I have a few agents with customers that load legal size loads, but they pay as well as the OS stuff. I go just about anywhere the money goes. I've tried staying more local to the Chicago area but I find it very difficult to run out and back. There are hundreds of loads going out, but not many coming back. So I run from there out west, then usually back to AL/FL and load back north. I'm doing well, but it's been years since I've pulled a van trailer here.
