if they need a sign on bonus to entice u, they are not very good, good companies get employees bt word of mouth, not one time bonuses.

I have been an IC for Schneider for 3 years, was one of there company drivers for 3.5 years prior, for stability in getting into my first truck, i stayed with Schneider because of the freight availability, it has worked out great, I make decent money, bills paid, really no complaints other than the usual trucking company crap, like, Where can I get Frigin Trailer, having to put up with the stupid request from the main office, other than that, it's been good.

Thanks right lane, I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. There is so much negativity in this industry and I have been trying to wade through it. :>)

Look at the numbers vs a dealer purchase.
Then look at the revenue (or lack thereof) at the flease companies.
Then tell me it's a better deal than buying your own truck at a dealer etc, in your own name, and be able to pull the truck whenever you need to.

You will make more money being a company driver vs lease purchase, why do think all theses maga outfits offer this?? They make money off you, when you go broke they just get some other dummie to sign up and drive that same truck, its a lot more headache owning your own rig, but if you have to save up some money for a down payment and another 15000 to 20000 grand for brake downs, fuel, insurance, payments, ect. Your going to be married to that #####, so get something your happy with...............................
