Thanks again guys, lots of good info. Right now I'm looking at a 2002 379 a guy I know is selling that has 400k after overhaul on it. He's asking 30k for it and it has all paperwork of past work done to it. I'm having my buddy, who works on Trucks for a living to come with me to take a look at everything. Another question I have is has anyone Leased on with Dart? Would they be good for a first time O/O running OTR? Thanks again guys

That's the issue though is I don't have 2 years or hazmat and tanker. Would love to get as many company names for future possibilities though!

    100,000 miles @ 5.5 mpg x $2.50 a gallon = $45,455.00 100,000 miles @ 7.0 mpg X @ $2.50 a gallon = $35,714.00!

How much capital you starting with and do you have a family and kids depending on you? Just asking cuz 1 year isnt much experience to go out on your own.

Forget about the long hoods for now its a tool and you pick the best one. You know what good is a hot babe that can't cook and sucks in the sack

I have 2.5 years exp and grew up around the business with my dad and few more relatives being owner ops and still wouldn't feel 100 percent comfortable going on my own.

Like the company my dad and uncle are hooked up with, his insurance wants 3 years and have you looked at what insurance will cost you running your own authority? Or even trying to find a company that will consider insuring you

Freightliner cascadia with a Detroit 15.
Most reliable, most places to get it fixed when its not.
Save the 379 for your second truck
