Even if you don't get inspected or pulled over the company could get audited if you don't care about your CDL I'd say pedal down.

Do you know the difference between a lot lizard and a high end call girl? One of them gets porked in the parking lot.
You will notice many a driver complaining about money and pay. But they were the ones that volunteered to have sex in the parking lot. How so? By doing what you’re contemplating.
Can you add fast? How much money do you average per day? Now, multiply that by 4. That’s what the load pays. Now how much do you think the fines would be? My guess would be to the owner of the truck, 5 figures on the fines alone. The load isn’t paying nowhere near 5 figures. How do I know? Because the truck owner would have someone who could legally run it to deliver.
If a truck owner is actually considering sending you across state line to run freight, he’s extremely cheap. You’re doing tricks in the parking lot.
“But Six, he promised double my usual rate.”
That ain’t enough.FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
There are 3 very telling things in your question: "get caught", "violating" and "restriction". All implying wrongdoing. Your choice, live with the consequences.

I thought you already could, and it would just have that K restriction by default... am I mistaken?

K restriction in Maine just means at the time you updated your license you didnt have a medical card. You will need to be specific what state your are in.

Get caught by having an accident and the insurance can walk away....feeling lucky?
Got a few million laying around just in case?
Quick way to never have a CDL..... -
Why is that? Is there any reason to believe an 18 year old would be different than a 21 year old in that regards?starmac and lovesthedrive Thank this.
-
K restriction in all 50 states means intrastate only. It could mean no med card, it could also mean under 21.
-
It's simple. Caught violating K restriction. You get to come back on here and ask: "What happens if I get caught violating my suspended license?"
Capacity, thelushlarry, Mike250rs and 2 others Thank this.
