What would most companies think.

Hey Guys and Gals. I recently lost my job about 2 months ago, not with a trucking co. Finding extremely difficult to find a job i am looking into going back into trucking. The only problem is that I haven't driven in two years, still have a current class A cdl, and drove for 6 months with Star transportation out of nashville, tn. I should have a clean dac star told me if i ever wanted to come back they would take me back. I don't live in there hiring area anymore and just wanting to know some info. Would most companies make me go to a refresher coarse? Would they just let me go out with a trainer? How is the industry these days, when i left i was averaging 2000-2500 a week. Also what companies are worth looking into, I've applied to TMC but haven't heard anything maybe i should contact a recruiter. Any info would be grately apprecited.
