What would you add to this checklist before buying truck? 03 century .

    Looking at 12.7 l, 03 century with 800 k miles, 13 speed . Already drove it , liked it. I did visual inspection , not bad at all. Truck used to pull boats all 48
    doing my homework on it ..
    ..What else would you add to this checklist guys?


    1. Dyno 300$

    2. Detroit authorized mechanic visual inspection 1 hr 100$

    3. Pull the pan and check bearings and bull gear 100$

    4. Oil sample 35$

    5. Rig Report free from dealer

    6. Maintenance records free

    7. Contact last owner and get info , runs, loads avg weight etc....

    8. download ecm

    Take it for a DECENT road test not just around the block , see if they have a trailer to hook to.

    Preferably loaded with something in the neighborhood of whatever weight you expect to be pulling on a regular basis.

    Ask the dealer if they changed the oil when they got it. That oil sample will be next to useless if they did.

    Batteries load tested. Pull plug on rears and transmission , look for metal shavings in oil.AC check.
