I'm looking around for a rig to replace my straight truck as bit small now. I want to see what your recommendation would be and why. (Used to have 01 Classic XL with N14+ i was able to put on it close 1mil miles without it ever giving me any trouble) To give you an idea as to what the job is... Running Florida to Chicago and back, pulling reefer at close 80k. Don't really care for comfort but do care for reliability, parts availability, parts cost and economy. Budget is around 35k so classic and 379 and other fancy rides are out of the question. I need something that will run and not burn a lot of diesel. So for I have considered 05 - 07 Columbia and Century but seems like there is a lot of them with autoshift and 10spd - not too many 13s. How are autoshift ones? Reliable? What set up would you recommend to look for? Any other recommendations on other brands or models? I have considered going 08 and up but seem like there are too many problems.
What would you buy?

If you going to mark OTHER in the POLL at least write which one. Thanks

I put all my money in the stock market and have made 50 K this year in profit. Better than a truck and easier work.

I chose "other" for the reason that I'd buy a Sterling, only because I own one and know it inside and out. However that's just me. What I like most is that IF I had to get after it, my Sterling could pull a mountain. Then again any other truck with a jacked up N14+ or Cat could do the same I suppose.

I have my money there as well. This truck will run for my business and not to make money hauling others stuff.
