Rent a trailer for a few months and see what you want to do before investing all that money. Flatbed is hard work, and although rewarding, its not for every one. Learnt he industry of both and try it out before you invest. If you go flatbed youalso need load securment equipment and a rack for it. A good rack, a set of chains, binders, 4" straps, 2"straps and ratchets, edge protectors, mats coil racks, padding tarps, tarps, bungies etc. could run upto 5000 depending in what you get. Flat bed will give you less mpg in the truck, (but reefer you need to fuel the reffer to).
