Who here honestly believes a DOT bear will not shut you down for not having your license in your possession? Man, where's DieselBear when you need him? Just like a cop...never there until you don't want him....(Teasing, Mr. DB...Teasing!)

It's a big deal to not have your license with you. Besides the long arm of the law, there are numerous shippers I've been to who want to photocopy your license before you can haul the load. It is an essential tool of our profession. Bet ya' won't let that slip by you again, OP and good thing you're getting it tomorrow.

I didn't get shut down at the Truckee scales when it happened to me...wallet was stolen at the sparks terminal...got a citation, went to court, the court checked the qualifying dates and dismissed the charges. the same thing with the medical card BTW. You people keep on believing all the "tall tales" from the "truckers who know"...me I'll go by the letter of the law! black and white, printed in the code books is hard for even a judge to argue with.
