What would you do in this situation(regarding home time)

Puts more money in his pocket.... Another case of "Driver responsibility"

 

The planner knew exactly where this guy lived, his home terminal, and when he wanted his home time; If the planner respected the driver at all he would set up the load and the pre-plan with a t-call in Lancaster. He is the only one that has the power to do that in the Swift system.

He didn't. Because he knew their would be no driver in Lancaster, spending his holiday eating burritos out the vending machine on Turkey Day just waiting to pick up a 200 mile live unload.

More over, their would their be no desk jockey wasting his holiday calling around to get that load covered either. They fully intended on wasting this guy's holiday.

The only mistake DAX made was trusting a company like Swift would adhere to their rules, and promises, and respect a driver.

I know you guys work there and therefore have something invested in the company, but there is no need to make excuses for Swift's bad behavior and lack of respect.

 

Hmmmmm sounds like these dispatches don't really care much about your home time although they were actually trying to get you home weren't they? If a company promises when hiring you to give you home time then you should get home time the big test will be come Christmas time, if they won't direct you home for that then their really not worth working for.
