you're gonna feel real crappy if you get that new truck, and it gets scratched or hit right away.
keep the older truck, i personally never took brand new trucks either, the nonsense of switching things out, after i made the truck "my own", was always a bother.
What would you do? Keep my truck or move to the new one?

I would stay with what is proven reliable until you move into something else that has proven to be reliable.

I went from a 2016 Mack with Maxidine drive train day cab to a 2024 KW T680. I put 400K miles on it and the only time it saw a shop was for an oil change.
I want my Mack back!!!!
The KW is a plastic piece of garbage. And it has a ridiculous automatic transmission that shifts terrible not to mention the electronic faults it has.Old_n_gray Thanks this. -
If were in your position I personally wouldn’t think think the pros would outweigh the cons of moving out of the Star car. -
The deal killer for me would be the 10 speed in the new truck! Especially in the "Keystone"!
Last truck I owned had a 10 speed and after owning 2 trucks with a 13 speed, I hated that 10 speed with a passion!
I'd rather drive an AMT than a 10 speed, but I'm a little weird.........

still kicking myself for getting out of my truck for a new one. Nothing but problems.

I’ve never been one to get attached to vehicles of any kind. When I drove for the flatbed company I took all 3 new trucks offered to me. The longest I owned a single truck of my own was roughly 4 years, shortest was less than a year. After I sold my last truck and was taking the job I have now I was offered a new truck and took it.

That said, I love WS.
I drove a bunch of them, and WS is a good ride and if I was going to build a Motorhome, it would be a WS.
From the cost standpoint, once the QC issues are solved (still some issues), they have not failed my drivers.
I have Mack and other makes, I am also a fan of Mack, I have good luck with them but the others ... well ... I found the Petes and KWs are an acquired taste. I don't like them but that's me.
Like I said, you answered your own question.rbrtwbstr Thanks this. -
I would keep the old one just for the engine alone, with the 18 speed even better.
RockinChair, Feedman and Sons Hero Thank this.
