Only issue I ever had with the 567 was that stupid Paccar GPS / Radio. It would shut off whenever it wanted. Everything was great.

Eh, my last truck was a 10 speed, and it worked really well for what I do. The 18 speed is nice though. But I don't have any hesitation on going back to a 10

My mind is mostly made up at this point. I'm gonna try the Pete for a few days and see if it surprises me. I have my doubts though. It should be here soon I'm told.

I am not a western star fan by any longshot, but I will say this, that 6NZ is one of the best engines that has ever been built in my opinion. I would keep your old truck for that reason alone if I was you

I wasn't a W/S fan when I got the first one, I always preferred a KW, but I've grown to like the Star over anything else I've driven. The CH Mack was my first love. I'm not knocking Peterbilts by any means, but I have yet to run one I liked.

I currently own and run a WS, it has treated me well over the last several years. I have driven most makes of truck for at least a while, a Peterbilt was my first one, dad bought it for me, and that’s still my first choice. I actually just bought another Peterbilt several weeks ago, it needed some work, wet kit installed etc, so haven’t run it yet. Worst one by far has been a Freightliner Coronado dad bought several years ago. Doesn’t look bad, but it’s basically a royal shop queen.

Well to anyone who cares, the debate is settled. Although not settled in the way I'd planned. I'm staying in my Western Star after I return to work in a few weeks. I was cutting a tree and it fell on me, breaking my scapula. So I'm out of work for the foreseeable future.

The boss doesn't want the new truck sitting that long, and I totally get that. So I stay in my truck and return to work whenever the doctors clear me.
