You bet, I can't remember 100% if they have an alignment rack, what tires they keep on hand, or even who deals tires down in Rocket City for that matter, but they'll get you going in the right direction if they can't get you taken care of all the way in house.

Personally I do not run beads in my steer tires. I have them spin balance them. This has worked in the past to cure what I call the "Flintstone Effect" on the edges of various brands of tires I've had. I was told by several tire manufactures that the reason for it doing that, was the speeds I ran and that bead bags may not have enough weight in them to correctly balance the tires. Spin balancing puts the weights with the right amounts where they need to be on the rim. Has always solved any issues with my tires. 47 years experence and counting.

Good video Brandt!
I for sure have a pull to the right. Not bad though for how quickly my tires are wearing.
Called Peterbilt and they referred me to Tire Den who is the only alignment shop around here. Guy at Tire Den said he would like my business but it would be the next day. He thought I have enough rubber to make it home... just keep and eye on it kind of thing.
Went and loaded all day in the pouring rain and high wind. This dang load was more suitable for a dry van than my step deck. But they told me to bring a flatbed. Man, Wyoming is pretty but the weather sucks. Decided to stick it out here in town and roll in the morning. Fingers crossed that my tires don't wear out. Just don't want to get hassled by DOT either. At least my first scale is back in colorado. -
Made it home without any issues and enough tread to get to the alignment shop. I pulled over to check my tires at one point and one had rubber shavings all over it.
It snowed and rained most of my way down I80 so maybe that saved some tread. I thought for sure I would be rolling in showing wires.MBAngel Thanks this. -
Glad you made it safely. .. Good luck.

Thanks BBQdave.... I guess I'm the paranoid trucker. Never want to get stuck on the road when your an owner op. and certainly don't want to have a blow out on a steer. My biggest fear is causing an accident from something that I could have avoided.
I ask a lot of stupid questions on this forum.. But this is my best resource to ask more experienced truckers for advice. -
There are no stupid questions. When in doubt about the information you get, I suggest that you call the state patrol and confirm it. Yes they are a pain in the ### most of the time But they will also give it to you as they interpret the law. Always ask for the section and paragraph they are going by. Only takes a few moments to read it for your self.OldRed98 Thanks this.
