I'd keep going. What are we spose to do,he's not going anywhere anytime soon.We would just be in the way.Im sure a cop and a wrecker was on their way as those semis passed him.Besides where would we park it?Shoulder is'nt cleared and certainly cant park on the interstate.

You keep on going. I've driven through conditions worse than that. If that little bit of weather scares you, you might want to consider another career.

Working Class Patriot and Jynxx Thank this.

I would pull well-ahead, attempting to note Lice-Tag# then get a mile-marker and try to call it in ~ anyone who cannot see that well enough ahead due to sufficient sight-distance makes for needless risk

Keep going, like he said, keep it slow and steady. If it keep up I will find a safe place to park. thats why trucks have thermoniter, to see the temp outside so you know the road is freezing. The ones in the ditch were the ones trying to hammer thru. I havnt driven truck that long, but anybody with an ounce of commen sense, be it big truck or 4 wheeler should know to slow down in that mess.
At home in the sweet bosum of my family, at least till tomorrow night.

Throw a roll of toilet paper out and keep going! :)

The guy making the video wouldn't be driving my truck either. He think he's slick making a video at the wrong time. Deliberately breaking traction just puts him closer to that fine line of losing control. All it takes is the trailer to push on the cab. It's right at the time where you pull over and wait for the salt trucks. Wanting to get home is not an excuse to fight bad weather. All I see out of that video is "look at me, I'm better than these guys". You have nothing to prove out there. I would respect a guy more sitting in a rest area waiting.

You can think that Typhoid, I much rather drive in a foot of snow than on ice. Two truck wrecks and several 4 wheelers in the ditch is a good sign to pull over.

Im with CC.I think I would have found the nearest safehaven rather then tackle black ice. You're not going to gain any miles anyway so why even try.
