    I have a contact for direct freight from a shipper no agent,broker. The problem is that i'm lease to a company and i run under there authority. so with that said how do i sereure my contact with out the people i'm lease to backdooring me... don't have the money to start my own broker company, don't have my truck payed off... I'm in a L/P but i can find all my own work for the truck... need some advice..........ASAP

    Are you a lease purchase op or just leased on to another carrier?

    When you book loads, the shipper usually will ask for a certificate of insurance naming them a certificate holder, so really you are not going to be able to circumvent letting the lessors know about this if you plan to pursue it. Because they will have to initiate the certificate of insurance for the company that you want to haul for. Plus your hauling it under their MC# and their name. So obviously the billing will be expected to come from them.

    If you want to haul these loads without them getting any part of it, you either need to change the lease contract, or get your own authority and insurance.

    i have no problem with them getting there % of the load i just don't want them to solicit my contact for more trucks with out me getting some kind of payment for the contact to the shipper.

    If you are L/P ing from a company but want to haul direct freight then what assurance does the company have that you are going to pay them for the L/P?

    The company i'm lease to can load goverment freight but i have a contact to get in the FED PRISON and run there fright from prison to prison.

    and i know as soon as i give them my contact they are going to back door me... i think this to good of a lead for my company to give away without some kind of compensation...
