I just got fired & rehired all in a matter of a couple hrs, my company called me back to the yd because I refused to pull a trl that needed reflective tape on the icc bumper, told me I was fired and to BT back to the yd, when I did my post trip and came in, they changed their tune and wrote me up for something I did two weeks ago and then started hinting to me to drive it the way it is and we will fix it when we have a chance to fix it, but I told them, I was just taking care of my license (csa score & such) now I feel like I have to pull loads with missing marker lights or such or they will make it hard for me to keep my job :biggrin_25513:💩

Take it to their shop and have them put new tape on the bumper shouldn't take that long.Getting it fixed when they get a chance never comes. They didn't wanna face a lawsuit for wrongful termination why they called you back.

Sounds like they are short drivers and want you to ignore DOT laws. How big of a company is this. What state is it in?

Well looking for another job is on the agenda of course but I'm thinking maybe I should file a report on them with dot, I've lost trls off the truck because they won't fix a rotten fifth wheel, then found out it was the third time for that truck loosing loads and now they are trying to bully me like this, but if I have a marker light out, they are gonna fix it so things are going to get rough, but I'll have a report on file with the dot to back me up

Any time you find yourself in such a situation, ALWAYS take pictures of the items in question. Use the company's film camera from the accident kit if you feel they may claim you altered the digital files off of your phone. It's always easy to question a driver's integrity when they're in the office and you're wherever you are. But a photo helps to alleviate some of this if push comes to shove, and it also forces the driver to really look at what he's complaining about in a more realistic light. It (A photo) helps to keep everybody honest, much like elogs do.

keep driving until another job materializes,do what they ask within reason(i wouldn't drive/pull something that is obviously dangerous),and like the one forum member suggested take pictures to cya.
