    What's really funny is all the guys on here that think that this is exclusive to trucking. construction workers, engineers, drillers, military personnel, electricians, nurses, commercial pilots. All of them travel for a living, and none of them get paid for the time spent away from home that they are not working.

    Well there's a few options you have first are they being paid correctly if yes then i'd explain to them that you just can't afford to pay any more and if you go broke they won't have a job, if your underpaying them then you might want to give them the correct pay especially if there good reliable drivers in the end its your choice what you do. Remember sometimes its not what you say but how you say it that counts.

    Is it just driving or lumping too? If just driving, wages are reasonable for Florida. Would be a bit low in most states. Florida has always been an Employer's state. Cost of living in Florida varies a great deal.
