10 stops, running zip codes on googlemaps, 326 loaded miles. Nursury load. I figure 3 days in that if a person is lucky and able to kick off 5 stops a day. Bad case scenario it's a 4 day load. Didn't ask specifically what the customer drops are "chain stores" or "mom-n-pop places", it sometimes makes a difference, so no idea what if any help unloading. What would any of you quote on a load like that?
What would you quote? multistop nursery load

where are they coming out of??? Most nursery stock The reciever, lowes/walmart/home cheapo, etc will receive all day. I just called about some out of tennessee....

Yeah.. LS is posting $400 cheaper than the next highest broker.. I would not touch it for what they are paying.. I figure $350 per stop is fair but think that would be a stretch.. I may start emailing some quotes like that next week and see what happens... Just curious what other think..

3500 for a 10 drop nursery load on 326 miles will never happen..... 2200 is the real number to the truck including FSC. FYI i've hauled nursery for 15 plus years.
UTI TRANSPORT, Mr. PlumCrazy, bullhaulerswife and 2 others Thank this. -

I'm not familiar with Tennesee nursery shipping. But I am with Oregon nursery which is 10x bigger. From now to mothers day its balls to walls in shipping. 95% of the nurseries here use brokers due to its easier to line trucks up. I am direct with a few farms and also have a broker that takes 8-10 percent which i feel is fair. The big problem with nursery is the time involved for picks, loading, drops and unloading. Also some of the locations you have to load or unload are not built for big rigs. When you call on a load ask if it is containerized, B&B, pallettized or on rolling racks. Always call each receiver beforehand and let them know you are coming and to make sure they have the proper equipment and crew to offload their product.

Where it is going is as big a factor as anything. Walmart, Lowes, HD, etc are pretty easy to get into and unloaded. But start hitting those "Home Town Nursery" and you will have them hooking chains to pallets and dragging them out, no real place for parking, maybe only one person working that is doing other things than unload, etc.
You accept that it is a day loading. But the unload will kill you. And if it is driver assist, you learn real soon to park with the tail of trailer lower than the front. -
Ask brook for the rate confirmation on when I did the 19-stop Menards load.
