Now im not sure of the type of nursery your talking but, if your talking plants on racks, those are as simple as can be.......when it comes to unloading time at receivers. Ive never done walmart, but ive done Lowes, etc. Pulled em out of Fla. Will pull some out of smithville,Tn on thursday.

The rack loads are always cheaper from what I see and Landstar broker seem to be the cheapest of everyone on nursury. It's always the usual suspect agencies also. I'm talking about floor load layers of potted plants and trees stacked up 6 or 8 tall... that is an hour to an hour and a half per stop unloading lots of pots...

When I was with May Trucking I did several Nursery loads for HD. I was only able to do 3 a day legally and every single one of those stores had no idea I was coming. I averaged 2 hours per drop with 1 guy helping me unload and someone else on a forklift and they refused to accept them before or after 7am-5pm. But that was a few years ago so it may have changed. I know both walmarts near me close their garden section at 9pm, but I have no idea about their receiving hours.

You have to be proactive with loads like this and call each stop a day before and even day of delivery before arrival. Farm and Fleets are great to deliver to if any of you are wondering, but they are only 10-12 hours daytime receiving.

The twitching is much better. The doctor thinks I can possibly start to cut my meds come summer when the snow is gone.BigBadBill Thanks this. -
I had a 3 pick-up,1 drop van nursery load last week. Homestead, Florida 350 miles to Jacksonville, no touch. Offered it to others at 1200 to the truck,COD, nobody bit so I hauled it. Lots of drivers do not like plant hauling, but I have made good money with it.Have left south Florida with 35 drops, have 1 week to get them off.

Did a Nursery ld out of TN a few weeks ago and won't be doing another, 8000 trees floor loaded covered in red mud!
Two picks and two drops took 3 days as the second place stopped loading at three and we had to wait until the next morning to have the rest loaded.
Had to have the Van washed out and it took two days for the floor to dry completely and we have the Translucent roof.rollin coal and BigBadBill Thank this. -
I turned in an xtra rental after hauling that load. I washed it out but it was still messed up. It was a brand new trailer too lol. I know these loads are messy but I don't mind if they pay good.
