    Thanks Tony.

Y'know.... its' easy to be perfect for a while but almost impossible to be perfect for 11 hrs of every day for 30 yrs isn't it? Sooner or later you're gonna get caught doing something wrong.....something inconsequential to a non driver......even a ticket in your personal vehicle might cost you a 25 yr career. What other job is that stupid?

In this business a thousand attaboys are erased by one mistake. And that is tough.

sitting on your butt for 8 hours trying to get to destination. Would be longer if the 30 minute lunch break was removed

Yes sir , couldn't agree more. When I retired in 2011 , I told my wife the one thing I'll not miss is the stress. After running fast food restaurants for over 30 years and dealing with small parking lots and stupid people that think they are the only ones around , plus add into the mix you're trying to keep a accident free record actually accident free , man do I not miss that.

The hardest part for me in the last few years would have to be keeping myself from going postal at the fuel island .

I am also pretty darned sick of all the whiny hating crybaby drivers that piss and moan about how horrible trucking is .

Couldn't help but notice joseph1135 signature picture attacking Christians and Christianity. That is pretty pathetic.

for me, it was always stress. There are many times where this isn't so much a job, as it is a vacation where you're getting paid.

Then you get dispatched to LA or the north east. Then the stress comes.
