What would you say is the hardest part about actually driving a truck?

The hardest part for me, was resisting the temptation to jump out of the truck, and beat someone with the stupid stick.

 

trying to hurry the hell up and get to destination knowing there's a cold beer waiting and some beauties waiting to serve you.

 

Driving, nothing, they can train monkey's to drive, however, the lifestyle that comes with OTR driving is the part that'll get ya...Being away from family, especially if newly married or have young kids, for most of their lives is a lifestyle that you have to accept...

They could train anyone to drive one of these things(and have) on a interstate in a straight line..

Try and keep in mind that delivery of the freight in tight city conditions with low clearance locations and heavy traffic is where a professional driver earns his pay..

 

The paper towels..... Stretching across to the passenger side floor board trying not to leave coffee stains.
Get yourself a 2 foot stick with a adjustable claw to hold paper towel firmly.

Actually driving though, until you remember there's a trailer behind you, remembering that trailer is behind you. Once you're past being that new guy, it's nowhere near as hard as some of these guys say, but I guess I'm also a little weird, I like making those tight turns where a truck shouldn't be going... I'm kind of allowed to ignore most "no trucks" signs.
