I wear a casio ws220 all the information is there at a glance.. Date. Day. Time the reason I brought this one is for several reasons.
1: it's solar powered, waterproof, durable.
2: has a 100 hour stopwatch ideal for checking time off work
3: it has a split timer so mine is set for a 16 min and then it goes immediately into a 31 if I am unable to get back to truck so I know I have had either a 16 or 47 min break.
4: it has 5 alarms.. Ideal for many things
5: and this is the biggest reason I chose this. . Second hand £10

Digital display Casio G-shock! Most dependable, accurate and reliable watch to wear in trucking. It has been in below zero and above 100F temps with dirt, water, oil and keeps giving me the day, date and time to the second. Only watch I will wear at work and even play!

I have not worn a watch since trucking, the ones I use were two copies of Casio G Shock digital model since the mid 80's they were the only ones at that time to take hits and keep functioning. One watch took several replacement batteries before being destroyed by a chain gone loose out of a binder under stress and the second from the 90's made it past 9-11 with replacement batteries once a year or so. The wrist band was a flexible semi cloth material. Anything else was either too hot in the sw desert sun or cracked in the cold. I went through several bands over the years on the same watch. It was usually set to 2400 time. midnight to midnight for logging purposes.
I am sorry I cannot offer much but if I needed a watch it will be one of those basic Casio Shock models today. It's not that expensive where analog watches failed in trucking because I did not spend a bunch of money for a watch that can take hits. (I doubt any of them could) -

I've always enjoyed watches but admired from afar.
Recently a friend of mine introduced me to the Seiko line and subculture. No looking back.rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
I wear a Casio G-Shock GW-500A. Solar-powered and Atomic. Keeps the battery charged and updates it's time daily so it is never off by more than a second or 2 compared to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

When my last watch broke about 10 years ago i never replaced it.
That was a Timex, so if i was going watch shopping, decent chance it would be another timex, it was a good watch till i smashed it.
