what year did the ntc400 first come out

    A truck of this age could have anything in it by now regardless of original spec. The tag on the LF of engine should list HP @ rated RPM. Engine # should match # stamped in LR of block under head gasket. CPL # (critical parts list) should match CPL # on tag on top of fuel pump. If you get the fuel pressure on your current truck up to about 190 you probably already own an NTC400. Low flow does not mean low power. I don't mean to be smart, just help!

    I think you are pretty correct on the date.I bought a new 4300 Int. Eagle in 1977,had a small cam NTC in it.
