Just wondering when I start looking for my next ride. What are the years to not even look at? I heard of a lot of problems with 2011 thru 2014 (every make and model) A friend of mine has a 2018 (its in service date is July 2017) hasn't had problems.
So what year did "they" finally get all that egr, dpf, def, whatever you wanna call it emissions crap figured out?
Please don't tell me just delete or buy an old exempt truck.
What year did "they" finally get emissions crap right?

I still don't think they have it figured out.
I was driving a 2016 KW t680 in Washington and it started doing a Regen whatever you call it. the high temperature burn off anyways I had smoke coming out the dash just smelled like in between diesel and a wood fire at times it was hard to see the traffic on i-5.
Kind of a tractor trailer version of this car.

I'm still driving pre-emission trucks and waiting. There does seem to be fewer complaints lately. Maybe we've just come to expect crap.
Diesel Dave, OldeSkool and stwik Thank this. -
They never did but they also never perfected the owner who knows how to adapt to the new junk.
