I wouldnt buy it for the engine, those early detroits werent to good.
-
Probably DDEC I, maybe DDEC II, both very obsolete. All of the electronics work just the reverse of DDEC III and above.
Try to go for late 1994 and above. DDEC III is probably the best electronics. DDEC IV is good also. -
it would be a 435 not 425. and the last thing you will want in the woods is a 9 speed. think 15 or 18 speed. you need the low gear splits offroad
-
The DDEC1 was a 425 Al.
-
you sure?? I don't think so. Actually I thought the first ones were like 400 max then the next models were 435. we had then both but it has been a long time ago
-
Early 90's 12.7s were 425 HP. I almost bought one about 12 years ago.
-
Yeah, the DDEC1 was 425hp max, they never made a 435 rating, 430 then 470. When DDECII came out they went to a 430hp rating.
-
ya 430 is what I meant. I guess the 400 I was thinking of was the 425 then. my bad
-
Medicine MAn why would the 9 speed be bad for the woods.....I know rolling around with 85000k on you is never good but lets say I have a 9 and a 13 what maks the 9 bad for the woods.
Thanks
