What you like about trucking?

maybe I will.It has to pay better then the normal trucking hauling van and reefer.

 

I guess sitting by the side of my dad in one of his various trucks most notably the Brockway rubbed off on me . I remember as a kid playing in some of the trucks and could stay in it all day. Its the only job where even with all of its downfalls with all the new regulations where you can be yourself , meet people , talk with people in the restaurants you frequent , become friends with people who love to do the same things as you . I have always loved driving trucks , I don't know of really anything I would rather do . I know people who may look down at me as a lowly truck driver but there are still some folk that still look up to us too. While driving little kids will make motions to blow the air horn , I still get a kick out of seeing their smiling faces. Everybody can't do this job . Yet the pay scale has not risen for most company drivers . And we have the power ,literally to change our own income if we all sat down on the same page. Time will tell the way things are going for us with all the new Regs. If you told me when I started that there would be such thing as some computer telling me which gear Im in or how fast Im going around corners and how I am applying my brakes I would have thought you were a bit tapped . I remember my first truck, no power steering , no air seat, clutch would build your left leg if you used it , I never did or still do . No radio. no seatbelts . Spring suspension twin screw. We really are lucky today with the advances in technology . Ok I think I have rambled on enough here , you get the point.

I only truck because i sit up very far and look down at all the mini skirts.
