I'm looking for a bed for my apartment as well as something that could work for a trucker. I used to have a Walmart bought memory foam mattress with steel base frame that was fold able: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10924587
Would a trucker that lives in a truck use something like this? Perhaps without the bed frame, just the mattress?
I want to buy it again but it is sold out. It's not bad for $200. I sold mine when I had to relocate from Illinois to Maryland. Anyone know of similar bed type? Memory foam mattress is supposed to be good for your back and overall posture while sleeping.
what's a good bed to have?

I have a Walmart memory foam mattress in my truck.. You can not use the frame in a truck.. They have their own beds. At home I have a much more expensive mattress.. -
Speaking of...
Has anyone used, or uses a SelectComfort bed in their truck?
I sleep in one at home and they are wonderful beds and will try and see how it works once I go solo in a few months. If it does work, these are awesome beds.

My mattress at home is stuffed with $100 bills,Being a truck driver,I needed a place to stash the millions that I make every year. Not comfortable, but I sleep like a baby,I wake up every two hours crying !

I have a Sleep Number bed in my truck. Size is a twin XL.

I bought a 4" memory foam mattress cover off Ebay for $50. company is called Sleepy Mountain mattress. Way better than those $100+ Wal-Mart ones.

yeah I have seen memory foam mattresses go for under $50, different inches. The Walmart ones came with a steel bed frame, that's why it's priced higher. Do you already have the bed frame/base? Is it necessary to have a bed frame/base?

If you have a mattress then your good to go. The cover just fits over it.
