whats a good gps unit to have

It's just another electronic toy for a trucker. Garmin Dezl760 best one I heard of on many sites. It is programmed for big trucks but don't rely 100% on it.

i havent checked any of the gps's at walmart, but I would assume that none of them are made for truck use. like someone said before, unless it SAYS truck use on it somewhere, don't waste your money on it. if you arent sure, go to a truckstop (most are for our use), look at what they have there, and the models listed above, and then go to walmart and see if they carry any of them

and honestly, for just $109 I would be quite skeptical on what kind of gps I was getting for that price... you get what you pay for

They got the same one refurbished on sale for $69. I like refurbished electronics. They get a better going over than the assembly line. Kind of like getting a CB peaked and tuned.
