For faf get something with a low tune for best possible mpg. Loads are light 35k max but often 20k. Transmission doesn't matter.
Get something roomy for your stuff and understand you'll be sitting sometimes so want some elbow room.
If I had a big down payment to buy I'd get a new 680 with auto.
