I use The Weather Channel app. They have various weather maps that show where it will be raining, snowing, etc. in the next few hours. For winter road conditions, I use the state’s own reports that are displayed on their website. For example, this is the one for WY:

To my knowledge, The Weather Channel app is completely free, but will have ads. I paid $4.32 to remove them. It looks like a one-time fee, or at least definitely not monthly. I check my bank statements routinely.
I forgot to mention that The Weather Channel app posts short videos every day or every few days on upcoming storms/hurricanes. It has turned out to be very useful when booking loads to stay away from states that will be impacted by extreme weather (image below).

I use an app called Weather Live.
It has doplar radar, several adjustable parameters, you can add cities and a host of other features. The widgets are pretty cool as well. -
With MyRadar if you want a forecast for where you are going just center the crosshairs on the part of the map you are going to and it will give a forecast for that area. Also you can turn on the warnings and it will give you that information if there is a warning for that area.

Lepton1 and Wicked Wizard Thank this. -
WeatherBug. You can add several cities and keep them. Look at them 10 days out. They also have a future radar forcast. It only goes out 3 hours but it's helpful.
