using 10,8.5,10,8.5,10,8.5,10,4.5 that makes it to where you can get down the road u move every day and have the 4.5 day as your day. Laundry and what ever else you want to do that day. and best believe i can run team this way as well! Its easy to do and you never get burnt out from doing this cuz for the simple fact your working non stop, but you have good down times from when your teammate is waiting for his/her 10 to run out...... just my views but im a n00b thats why im asking this. Thanks

I try to drive max up front and see if there is down time later. My own trip planning is a simple as taking the miles and dividing it by the number of days until delivery. I don’t count delivery day in this equation. If it comes to 600 or less per day, I do it balls to the wall. Been working for me.

We did not have the rules you run under 34 etc in our time OTR in 2001 was our last big year. We ran the hell out of our hours. 65 hours from LA to Avenel NJ and return for a team. Or Yakima WA to Boston MA as a solo in 6 days. The 7th and part of the 8th will be spent in the NE somewhere doing laundry and perhaps a little bit of personal culturing in the area (Museums etc)

I suggest running the hell out of your hours. You have the 34 to sit, laundry, eat up, church up and do all sorts of things that makes travelling around the USA more fun. And rest up some more because next week there is another 70 hours waiting for you.

    Oldironfan Thanks this.
