In theory it better be a lot more than what a typical company driver clears after taxes since there is equipment to pay for and maintain. Unfortunately it's tough right now and some of those company drivers earn a pretty good paycheck. Gross Revenue is not directly comparable to any number an employee sees but that's kind of the one that matters in business.
Whats everyone clearing per week on avarge with dryvan o/o

Because either you do not know or not smart enough to understand how this business worksLast edited: Apr 6, 2024

I know what? Of course I know what I avarage and clear per week but I'm curious as to what others are making these days because trucking industry today is nowhere near as good today as it used to be. With cost of living going way up and and loads are going back down. Truckers get screwed everywhere from brokers to truckstops where they charge an arm and a leg for just about anything. You think truckstops would appreciate truckers more then that and offer them discounts instead of charging them extra. People need to realize that without truckers...grocery stores are empty! Gas stations out of fuel! Pharmacy out of meds. Restaurats out of food and the list gos on and on... truckers are what makes the world function and go around. But then you may know or not be intelligent and smart enough to understand how this business works!Last edited: Apr 6, 2024

1st off why do you care what others are making .? 2nd is if a guy is doing well right now with their weekly average their not going to share that with a newbie like you. And if it’s bad which right now most is, their still not going to share . It pretty Simple, it been that way for the 40 years I’ve been in the business.Which that right their tells me your new to the whole O/O game because if you weren’t you would of already knew that and wouldn’t of even started this thread
Last but not least you think somebody that’s been at this for years is gona willing volunteer somewhat private info to some snot nose newbie like you that has been on this forum less that 30 days and has 18 posts more than likely not and if they do I would would question the truth in the numbers
Iike I said if you know you know and obviously you don’t
This ain’t church camp here we don’t sit around and have group hugsLast edited: Apr 6, 2024

What he’s saying is simply nobody is going to tell you that.
If I were in that field and socking away cash hand over fist why would I possibly threaten my gravy train by blabbing it to the rest of the world?fordconvert, CassND, Rideandrepair and 7 others Thank this. -
What most will say, it's a highly subjective subject, and you won't get 2 opinions that are alike. Used to be, pay, according to type, van freight was usually on the lower end, but I think all trucking pays about the same, excluding highly specialized jobs. Besides, like the Rolls Royce salesperson says, if you have to ask, you can't afford it,,,meaning, I doubt there's much difference in any van loads, so if you aren't making enough with that, maybe time to change types or get out altogether. You won't get rich here.Rideandrepair, 86scotty, NorthEastTrucker and 2 others Thank this.

Also, truckers tend to talk about their paychecks in the same manner as their genitalia. Mine is bigger than everybody else’s.
Sirscrapntruckalot, Opendeckin, Rideandrepair and 4 others Thank this. -
Well said. By the way, how many times did you rub one out last week/month? I need to see if I'm below average, average, or above average.SL3406, Opendeckin, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this.
